UPWARD Basketball and Cheerleading
Thank you for your interest in Upward In The Abbey! Registration opened October 7, 2024 through December 7th.
Here's some information you'll need to know.
Evaluation and Orientation dates are set:
Saturday, December 7 from 9 am - 11 am.
Saturday, December 14 from 9 am - 11 am.
Each child needs to attend and participate in 1 of these dates.
Skill levels and abilities will be assessed and Teams will then be divided fairly from these evaluations. It is vital that each child is present for 1 of the Evaluation/Orientation dates.
Practice dates to be determined. Times and dates will be set by the Team coaches.
Practices can start as soon as the week of December 16th through the week of February 10th.
Scrimmage - Saturday, January 4 (no referees, no refreshments - just straight basketball)
Game 1 - Saturday, January 11
Game 2 - Saturday, January 18
Game 3 - Saturday, January 25
Game 4 - Saturday, February 1
Game 5 - Saturday, February 8
Game 6 - Saturday, February 15
Award Celebration - Saturday, February 22
We will have an information meeting for Coaches, Referees, Concessions and Sound/Tech etc. We plan on praying through the season as a Church for fair play, great God lessons, learning and applying basketball and cheerleading skills and providing uplifting entertainment for our community in support of all basketball players and cheerleaders.

God has truly blessed Westminster Abbey Church and The Abbey with the UPWARD Basketball and Cheerleading program. The support from the community including parents, grand-parents, friends, family and worship attenders has been incredible.
